Christmas is my favourite time of year, and yet this year I have struggled to feel festive. Politics and pandemic aside, I just haven’t been feeling it. With a few days remaining until Christmas day, I thought I would share some of the festive photos I took during my recent trip to Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire.
There were some enchanting displays and lots of beautifully decorated Christmas trees to look at, the team there have done a great job. Because of the one-way system in place for Covid, we found ourselves alone in many of Shugborough mansion's rooms, which was a rare treat.
I was also able to pre-book a tramper, so that I could ride up to the mansion (which is quite a distance from the carpark) and around the grounds, without having to worry about my back pain. I was told these are available at many National Trust places, I highly recommend hiring one for the day if you suffer from pain or have a disability.

And lastly, if you celebrate, I want to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas!
