History Author Spotlight - John Paul Davis

Today's History Author Spotlight guest is John Paul Davis.

Tell us about yourself

My name is John Paul Davis; I'm a full-time author on the wrong side of 30. I'm British and live in Warwickshire. I fulfilled a dream of becoming a published author with the release of my first nonfiction in 2009. Two years later, I achieved another lifelong goal when I indie released my first thriller, which went on to become an international bestseller. All of my books are history related. When I'm not writing, I love travelling - at least I did before Covid! - visiting sites of historical interest, sport, hiking, martial arts, playing the guitar, reading anything from classics and thrillers to nonfiction and spending time with friends and loved ones.

Tell us about your books

So far, I've released 11 thriller novels - some of which have been bestsellers - and seven nonfictions. While my early works were standalone historical thrillers, I've since written two series. The second of these involve The White Hart: an ultra-secretive SAS-style organisation whose mysterious origins date back centuries - rumour has it, they're the descendants of the Knights of the Round Table! My nonfictions are either biographies or castle-related and include one US Top 350 bestseller.

What projects are you currently working on?
After two years of nonfiction, I've returned full-time to The White Harts. The fourth instalment, The Merlin Stone, will be out in late spring/early summer.

Where can we buy your book?
The thrillers are available exclusively on Amazon (including Kindle Unlimited). You can find the nonfiction at a range of good bookstores - and possibly some bad ones!
